How Early Production Facility Package works
An early production facility combines separation, conditioning, measurement and transfer equipment to process first production before a permanent facility is in place. The configuration depends on reservoir fluid, product targets, utility availability and field operating philosophy. MechOilfield can develop equipment and integration scope against the approved process documents.
Define the processing train and battery limits
An early production facility can bring together inlet separation, oil conditioning, water handling, gas routing, storage, transfer pumps and metering. Its configuration changes with the production profile, fluid properties, target export specification and available utilities. A preliminary block flow and production forecast establish the equipment list; P&IDs then resolve controls, relief and shutdown boundaries. The offer should identify offsite disposal and pipeline connections, civil work and control-system interfaces explicitly.
Developed for the operating duty
Typical applications
- Early field production and pilot operation
- Modular separation and liquid handling
- Project specific upstream equipment packages
Inputs for engineering
- Production profile and wellstream composition
- Required export oil, gas and water conditions
- Site utilities, controls, plot constraints and expansion plan
What the package can include
- Separators, heaters, tanks, pumping and metering as specified
- Piping, instrumentation and package interface coordination
- Inspection, testing and documentation to project requirements
Final sizes, material grades, pressure classes, makes, testing and documentation are specified in the approved technical offer. We coordinate applicable design, fabrication, inspection and quality records against the project requirements.
Is an EPF a standard fixed package?
No. The equipment list and process configuration are developed from each field's production basis and scope split.
