How Nitrogen Pumping Unit works
A nitrogen pumping unit combines the specified high pressure pump, hydraulic drive, cryogenic or supply interfaces, controls and protection on a serviceable frame. Capacity, pressure and drive power must be matched to the nitrogen supply mode and planned operation. The final configuration is developed from the field program and client requirements.
Nitrogen delivery and package interfaces
A nitrogen pumping spread is configured around required nitrogen flow and discharge pressure, the source and storage method, job duration and ambient conditions. The pumping, vaporizing and control stages need a coordinated capacity basis. The selected equipment must account for pressure protection, cold-service materials where relevant and operating access. State the application and whether liquid nitrogen storage, transport, vaporizer or ancillary utilities fall within the requested scope.
Developed for the operating duty
Typical applications
- Well intervention and nitrogen service
- Pressure testing and pipeline service where specified
- Mobile oilfield pumping arrangements
Inputs for engineering
- Required nitrogen flow and discharge pressure
- Supply mode, inlet conditions and operating duration
- Hazardous area, transport and control requirements
What the package can include
- Hydraulic power and pump drive arrangement
- Process piping, protection and instruments
- Skid or vehicle integration subject to project scope
Final sizes, material grades, pressure classes, makes, testing and documentation are specified in the approved technical offer. We coordinate applicable design, fabrication, inspection and quality records against the project requirements.
Is the nitrogen pump hydraulically driven?
A hydraulic drive arrangement can be offered. Pump and powertrain models are selected against the confirmed nitrogen duty.
